Memory Lane

With so many road races now being held we take a look back to another
boom time in road running in the 80's. The Waterford Half Marathon of
1984 -thirty years ago -held on the second last Sunday in September
was won by Neil Cusack Limerick in 66 minutes and 41 seconds,
Catherine Hennessy was first lady home. 350 ran .Gerry Deegan had won
it for the previous four years but was not available to defend that
year. His time the previous year was 64 minutes and 7 seconds..
