National Juvenile Indoors Weekend 1

Our crew simply covered themselves in glory this weekend in Athlone at the national juvenile championships winning four gold and a silver and several final placings. Well done to Phoebe Murphy who won the u 18 69m in a championship best and a new lifetime best of 7.68s. We had double high jump gold with Neasa Murphy winning u 19 and Kylie Heinan winning u 14 in a new pb. Praise Owoeye was in brilliant form winning gold in the u 14 long jump and silver in the 60m where she smashed her pb running 8.15. Stephen Walsh ran a brilliant final in the 400m finishing 4th in a new pb of 50.88. Katie Murphy made the final in the u 16 long jump and Oisin Kiely had a great run in the u 17 60m. Sinead O'regan jumped a brilliant 1.50m for 5th in the u 17 high jump and Tom Gallagher also jumped well in the u 15 event. Frankie Dolphin made the final in his high jump u 17. Spare a thought for Patrick o Neill who was most unlucky to be disqualified in the 60m for a false start after looking really good in warm up. Well done to everyone.
